Flying Cars aren’t just fiction. Here are three different working designs.

Terrafugia – Flying Car

Terrafugia (ter-ra-FOO-gee-ah), based in Woburn, MA, is comprised of a team of award-winning engineers who have been advancing the state of personal aircraft since 2006. Founded by five pilots who are graduates of MIT and supported by a world-class network of advisors and private investors, Terrafugias mission is the innovative expansion of personal mobility. “Terrafugia” is Latin for “escape from land.”

The Moller Flying Skycar – Vertical Takeoff

Flying car developer Dr. Paul Moller gets cash infusion to help put his car/plane hybrid on the roads and in the skies by 2016. By joining with an outside firm and moving production to China, the California-based Moller International group says they’re on the fast track toward making sci-fi dream a reality.

We saved the best for last…

Aeromobil – First flying Car

An incredible flying car has been developed to let drivers skip traffic jams and take to the skies.
The vehicle can be driven on normal roads as well as being flown as a two-seater airplane, as it is able take off and land at any airport, ‘opening the door to real door-to-door travel,’ according to a Slovakian company.

Are flying cars the future. It certainly seems that way!
