Would it be possible for our DNA to carry spiritual and cosmic memories passed down in genes from our ancestors ?
New research from Emory University School of Medicine, in Atlanta, has shown that it is possible for some information to be inherited biologically through chemical changes that occur in DNA. During the tests they learned that that mice can pass on learned information about traumatic or stressful experiences – in this case a fear of the smell of cherry blossom – to subsequent generations.
So it seems the plot of the game Assassins Creed may not be so far fetched after all. Carl Jung the famous Swiss psychiatrist certainly felt that we could see into the minds of our ancestors, Jung came up with the theory of the collective unconscious, basically that all humans shared a set of memories and impulses from the evolution of the brain. According to Jung this ”collective unconscious” contains ”archetypes” or universal behaviors and traits one of which he called the anima and the animas.
Professor Wolf Reik, head of epigenetics at the Babraham Institute in Cambridge, said that following the recent finding further work was needed before such results could be applied to humans.
He said: “These types of results are encouraging as they suggest that transgenerational inheritance exists and is mediated by epigenetics, but more careful mechanistic study of animal models is needed before extrapolating such findings to humans.”
How Assassin’s Creed Predicted the Future of Science
Well there you have it, although there is more scientific work required to confirm how memories can pass down through human DNA there is definitely lots of compelling evidence which supports the theory.
So not only are we all part of a unified field of energy that essentially makes us ”All One” , our DNA may now connect not only our bodies but our brains and the memories they hold to our ancestors which truly is a mind-blowing thought.
